Two- and three- story Victorian row houses, many featuring high ceilings, fireplaces, polished marble steps, and authentic iron work, distinguish the area known as Marble Hill. Possessing a rich cultural legacy with the Royal Theater, the area was home to many Baltimore’s great jazz talents as well the show place for jazz phenomena such as Billie Holliday, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, and Dizzy Gillespie. Marble Hill is close to Druid Hill Park and the Baltimore Zoo.
